Personalized Reading Buddies

Clare Kostelnick has strong ties to Sacred Heart School.  She and her husband, Charlie, sent their children to SHS and now her grandchildren attend SHS. 
Over the summer, Clare heard a news story about individuals making teddy bears for first graders so they could sit with them as they were learning to read.  So, over the summer, she busied herself making a personalized teddy bear for each one of the first-grade students.  She came to the school on this week and presented each student with their own personalized bear!
