Can my kids attend Sacred Heart if we are not Catholic?
YES! You do not need to be Catholic to attend Sacred Heart.
What options do I have for tuition assistance?
In 2023, the state of Iowa offered Educational Savings Accounts to families interested in attending non-public schools. Find all the details here. Additionally, we offer several other ways to assist with tuition.
1. Monsignor Lafferty Tuition Foundation (MLTF)
2. Local Scholarships
3. Attendance at the Children's Rosary - Funds from a generous donor are set aside for families who attend our monthly Children's Rosary to assist in paying tuition.
4. Scrip - Purchase Scrip cards (aka gift cards) from our Parish Office. Cards are purchased by you for the value of the card and used for your normal shopping. Businesses "sell" the cards to our School at a discount which then is applied to your tuition.
For more information on any of these programs contact the school.
What are my children expected to wear to school?
Most school days students are allowed to wear what they might wear to any school. Most students dress in jeans, athletic pants, and a T-shirt. We do have a uniform for Mass Days (which are typically Wednesdays). On these days, students are required to wear a collared polo (SH apparel) and solid-colored bottoms.
